This weeks bargain See what's in the van

Diary of an antique dealer

Friday 13th

Friday 13th 2009....BAD LUCK DAY.

Not for young Mark Andrews from 4 Market Street, Southport.

He just filled his van up for less than £1000.

It was just like the old days.

I have just cleared a house out, 400 yards away at the bottom of my street, parked the van out side my shop when keen eyed Mark the next generation of antique dealing drove past who has an antique shop 400 yards away at other end of the street. Marks eyes lit up, always looking for a bargain, jumped out of his van and started rooting through the goods. After 30 minutes he bought 30 items. Who said Friday 13th was a unlucky day. Good day, Good buy and GOOD BY.

Mark is a dealer who is always willing to deal and leave profit for the next dealer.

The tambour front oak filling cabinet was then sold to another dealer in King Street. It changed hands 3 times in an hour.
